Emily is a creative, energetic and focused RIBA Part One qualified Architectural assistant, obtaining a first class BA (Hons) degree from Newcastle University. Currently she is pursuing her curiosity to explore imaginative solutions to environmental sustainability for the built environment through her PhD studies into Biomaterialism. This research plays in to her flair for design and digital representation as well as biological and architectural background. This fuels her desire to harness cross-disciplinary and international team working which investigates cutting edge technologies and prioritises disseminating this knowledge into accessible formats for the layman, regardless of the complexities of multidisciplinary research.
When she is not focusing on her PhD Emily works as a digital marketer and graphic designer for a number of start up businesses, working on understanding the ethos behind these start-ups to help build their brand into strong recognisable businesses. Her experience with talking to clients and understanding of visual effects allows her to provide high quality marketing and design packages.
Emily has ridden all her life and grew up in Pony Club. She was a BYRDS squad rider before she left for university, competing nationally but now she focusses her time on her home produced warmblood mare and is looking forward to starting her new youngster next spring.
